A. C. Bannister: the second of
Four Strong Men
Rank has its privileges --
except in love!
Major A. C. Bannister --
known as Ace -- grew up on the mean streets of a Texas town. The
army was his one chance to get out, and he took it. He worked his
way up through the ranks and now, as ROTC head at a Texas college,
he's admired by all the young men -- and adored by all the young
women. Truly a "major attraction..."
Captain Meredith Marshall
St. James has a West Point education, a General for a father and an
attitude that doesn't meet with the Major's approval. Ace just
doesn't hold with her belief in a "new" army, a "softer" army.
He soon learns two things:
1. the beautiful Captain
St. James isn't as soft as she looks, and
2. on the battlefield of
love, unconditional surrender is sometimes the only option!

STARR LEDERMAN.
She was
named after the Christmas Star. She's a woman who knows her own
mind and heart, a woman who values family and family traditions. So
she's determined to give her almost-adopted daughter, SeLi, the most
wonderful Christmas possible.
SeLi, who's nine years old
and wise beyond her years, knows what she wants for Christmas. A
dad. Which means a husband for Starr -- whether Starr wants one or
not! In fact, SeLi's already got a man picked out. Now she's going
to wish extra-hard on the Christmas star, and the name she'll
whisper is Clay McLeod.
CLAY McLEOD.
He's a rancher with a soft spot for children
and animals. He believes in family. But he's not interested in
marriage -- especially to a woman as headstrong as Starr. A woman
he believes is having an affair with his brother. His married
brother.
At Christmastime, though,
things have a way of working out.

Crockett County, Texas
Lizbeth Robbins has been
following the rodeo circuit for the past six years, learning the
farrier's trade, dragging her little girl from town to town. But
now her daughter's in school and Lizbeth needs a more permanent
job. She's relieved to find one at the Lone Spur: shoeing Gil
Spencer's quarter horses. Even if it was his foreman who hired her
and the man himself doesn't want her anywhere near his ranch!
Gil Spencer hates rodeos
-- mainly because his ex-wife loves them. While he was busy pulling
his ranch out of the red, she was busy pursuing a career as a
champion barrel-racer. Worse yet, the ex-Mrs. Spencer abandoned her
husband and their twin sons for the dubious charms of some bronc

Have Matchmakers. Will
Marry!
Tibby Mack -- sweet Tibby
Mack. She's twenty-seven, which makes her the youngest resident of
Yaqui Springs, a retirement community near California's Salton Sea.
The folds there have become her family, her friends...her
matchmakers. But since the youngest man in town is sixty-five,
the chances of finding Tibby a husband are slim to none.
Then...Cole O'Donnell is
"enticed" to Yaqui Springs. He meets all the matchmakers'
qualifications. Age: 30. Looks: good (make that great!). And he's
inherited his grandfather's property. He's the answer to their
prayers (though not to Tibby's!).
What the matchmakers don't
know is that Tibby and Cole have a history. Or that Cole's involved
with another woman. Or that Tibby and Cole are at odds over a post
office -- and a game of golf!
What the matchmakers do
know is that these two are in love, and that once in a while, love
needs a nudge...

"I contend that today's man could

-- Nolan Campbell
"You bet! Anything he can

"And probably better!"
-- Sherry Campbell
There's only one way to
find out. Nolan Campbell (known as Camp) recruits a group of women
to reenact the kind of wagon train journey made by settlers of the
1820's. These women include his sharp-tongued sister, Sherry -- and
Emily Benton. Emily with her fragile beauty, her delightful laugh,
her two impossible children. Emily, who's as determined and capable
as any pioneer.
Surrounded by big horses
and smart women, Camp discovers that wagon train life, 1990's-style,
isn't what he expected. Sometimes it's fun (not to mention funny)
and sometimes it's frightening. Kind of like falling in love.

list her husband as MIA, and think he absconded with Navy gold.
Two worlds collide…
Grace spent the year
researching storms and shows up to dive for the plane where Zeke is
set to sink his next oil well. Grace has government backing for her
project. Zeke thinks he does, but finds his permits on hold. His
boss orders Zeke to help hasten Grace’s locating of the downed
Duck. The two clash from the outset. Grace isn’t trusting of men,
and Rossetti’s mighty secretive about his private life.
The path to finding true
love is never easy. Grace and Zeke face a lot of obstacles, not the
least of which is a secretive South American who owns an island very
near the site Zeke and Grace are tussling over.

than that on Noah Kelley, the man who wants to marry her despite the
town's disapproval and all her efforts to discourage him. Shelby,
however, is definitely in favor of having Noah as her dad - and
sometimes kids know best.

A quote from a reader/fan:
WOW!!! What a read. I
have just finished More to Texas than Cowboys and thoroughly enjoyed
it. I have 4 children under 4 so I don't get to read much but like
to read at night when I go to bed. This one kept me up several
nights in a row. Just couldn't put it down.

Fly away home
Former Navy pilot Marlee
Stein has only a few simple goals when she and her young daughter,
Jo Beth, move home to Whitepine, Montana. Help her brother run
Cloud Chasers, their family's charter air service, fly mercy
missions for Angel Fleet, and be a good mother to Jo Beth, who's
still dealing with the loss of her father.
Meeting a man like park
ranger Wylie Ames is not one of those goals. The feeling's mutual;
he's not exactly thrilled with Marlee, either, even though is son,
Dean, is beginning to love Jo Beth and her mother. Gradually a
friendship forms between Wylie and Marlee...and then more.
Surprisingly , wonderfully, more.
Marlee becomes his friend
and lover, but when the unexpected happens, she has to be his angel,
too.

A quote from a reader/fan:
I really love these two
stories. I usually recycle my paperback books at the used book
store but these two books are keepers, to read over and over. The
thing I like about your writing is that all the characters are true
to life, and all are interesting, I especially get a kick out of the
words you put into children's mouths. I raised six of my own, so I
know your portrayals are accurate. I found myself wishing there
would be a 3rd book, but you seemed to wrap it up pretty well. I
remember an English lit teacher telling me once that when you write
a story there should be no wasted words. Every word, every sentence
must build to the story climax. I recognize your writing to do just
that. I can't do any "skip reading" like I do with some authors.
As long as you write, I will be reading your books.

Smart Women stay away from cowboys.
Taking a teaching job in a
desolate corner of Idaho was Kate Steele's way of making sure her
in-laws didn't turn her son, Danny, into a shiftless bronc buster
like his father. Except in the middle of nowhere she unexpectedly
ran headlong into a genuine buckaroo...
Don't they?
Being a good parent and a
born rancher were all that mattered to Ben Trueblood - until gutsy
Kate came along. Suddenly he found himself explaining to Danny the
rodeo circuit wasn't all that exciting... and considering the idea
of hanging up his spurs. Anything was possible if it meant having
Kate.

I grew up in the Owyhee
mountains and I can relate to so much that you wrote about. I have
always been proud to keep my roots planted in the desert and reading
your words confirmed all that I feel. The life one leads with a
foundation built upon the knowledge and strength that is branded
into you is an awesome occasion! I look forward to reading more of
your novels and wish you the best of luck.

A mother and child reunion?
Over a year ago Garnet Patton's young daughter
disappeared without a trace, kidnapped by her ex-husband. And now a
big-city cop thinks a little girl in rural Georgia might be Sophie.
Yet Detective Julian Cavenaugh insists on
proceeding with the utmost caution. The child he saw appeared
healthy and happy and doted on by a loving father. Without proof
that the girl is Garnet's daughter, Julian can't make false
accusations against an innocent man. Or raise a desperate mother's
hope. Especially, when he's already emotionally involved.
Garnet knows in her heart that the girl is
Sophie. And that she's fallen for Julian when she never expected to
feel anything again. But when they arrive in Georgia, they learn
that the girl has vanished once more...

I want to thank you for "Looking For Sophie."
I enjoy all of your Superromances but this one especially touched my
heart. I couldn't put it down until I finished with happy tears
running down my face. It should be a must read for parents involved
in custody battles. Maybe that would end searching for missing
children..

It's not exactly picture-perfect
This isn't the life Casey Sinclair
imagined. No husband, no job...and a baby on the way.
To pay the bills, Casey takes a position at Wyatt Keene's
photography studio. It's not perfect, but what choice does
she have? The fact that she finds Wyatt incredibly
attractive is an unexpected bonus.
But something's holding Wyatt back. And Casey thinks she
knows what it is - he's still grieving the loss of his wife and
unborn child. So she hides her own pregnancy. As
Casey and Wyatt get closer, it becomes more difficult for her to
reveal her secret. Lying to her boss was a bad way to
start, but how can Casey tell him the truth now - just when
everything she's always wanted is in reach?
It's not what they were expecting.

The Hope Chest Reviews - Julie Miles says:
"...I thought Ms. Fox did a very good
job of creating sympathetic characters in a difficult, but sweet and
touching situation. The plot of a heroine pregnant by a jerk of an
ex, meeting the perfect man who wants a family but has been denied
that through tragic circumstances is not a particularly new or
unique one, but The Baby Album was still distinctive enough
to hold my attention throughout and gave me plenty of warm, fuzzy
feelings at the end.
