What a fun book going from Red Hot to Fire and Ice--Don't Miss!

It wasn't just the underwear

When Sam Court came raging into Brynn Powell's lingerie shop, Romantic Notions, to return the frivolous undies his thirteen-year-old daughter had bought, he was shocked to find himself attracted to the proprietor.

Sam disapproved of female vanity.  Disapproved of women like his glamorous and unreliable ex-wife...a category that included former fashion models who "hawked filmy underwear."

But despite appearances, Brynn was really a sensible home-and-hearth person.  And she had to wonder if a one-time hockey great with a few too many bruises and an ex-model with far too many responsibilities could ever make a match of it.

Very good reading!!

He was no Prince Charming!

But then, Jade Han wasn't looking for any glass slippers.  Or princes.  All she wanted to do was design floats.  So when her Cinderella Coach won her an apprenticeship with a well-known California float-building company, Jade was absolutely thrilled.

There were, however, a few complications.  Trask Jennings, owner of Fantasy Floats, didn't want to be stuck with an apprentice designer, especially "a spoiled rich kid."  Worse, Jade's beloved grandparents not only disapproved of her career, they had very different plans for her -- including an arranged marriage!

But the biggest complication of all was falling in love with her reluctant boss...

The romantic relationship between two well-drawn characters is believable and exciting.

Franzi DeLisle -- she's not your typical rancher -- she raises mules.   But then, there's nothing typical about Franzi, from her skill as a tracker to her distrust of lawmen.  She's tough and self-sufficient to a fault...because she has to be.

Levi Hunter -- U.S. Marshal.   City slicker.  Horse-lover and all-around traditionalist.  He's a lawman on a mission...chasing a vicious killer who's escaped into the Sierra Nevadas.

When Franzi insists on helping Levi track his quarry, he quickly learns there's only one creature as stubborn as those "ugly, long-eared mules" -- and that's Franzi herself!

Sarah stifled a cry of protest as Gabe turned the full force of his ice-blue eyes her way.  Couldn't he see she was well and truly trapped?  The Honolulu agency -- Befriend an Island Child -- had sent the wrong man, the wrong kind of man.  Gabe Parker was a surfer and obviously a hang-loose party guy.  Just like her ex-husband!  Not the kind of male influence she wanted for her son.

This wasn't fair!  Gabe had already agreed the arrangement wouldn't work.  But it was to her that Mike looked with his heart in his eyes.

Unexpectedly Gabe spoke again.  "Maybe we should give this a try, after all..."
